Since then, we’ve rolled out a kickstart programme with uptakeAI to all senior managers (25 in total), and the enthusiasm has been phenomenal. We enrolled because we’re serious about adopting AI across our operations - not as a gimmick, but as a real lever for productivity, time savings, and better ways of working across the business. The group started from very different places: a small number were already confident AI users, while most were complete beginners. The programme handled this mix exceptionally well, building strong foundations for newcomers while still stretching those with more experience.

The content covered a broad and highly relevant range, from how AI actually works and the ethical considerations around responsible use, through to hands on applications such as bot building and data analysis. What really set the programme apart, though, was the delivery. Andrew and Lucy were energetic, approachable, and genuinely invested in the group. Sessions were interactive, well-paced, and practical - no “death by slides”, just learning that stuck.

While we’re still early in our AI journey, the impact is already clear. Colleagues who were initially hesitant are now actively using AI, asking better questions, and identifying meaningful opportunities to apply it in their roles. The programme has helped shift AI from an “interesting idea” to a genuinely useful tool, giving us a shared baseline and confidence to scale AI adoption across the organisation.

Lucy and Andrew understood our brief incredibly well, and weren’t afraid to politely challenge our initial thinking. They did a great job of convincing us that the two day format was worth the time commitment, and I’m really glad they did.

The programme got us to exactly the right place, not just in terms of technical capability, but in preparing the group to coach others, address weariness or anxiety around AI use, and lead meaningful conversations about adoption. They also helped us structure the training in the right way. The two days were enjoyable, well paced and thoughtfully designed, with space for discussion, reflection and for us to bond as a group - which has set us up brilliantly for the next phase of rolling training out to colleagues.

At the start, the group was very mixed in terms of AI usage, Copilot familiarity and confidence in delivering training. By the end, everyone left feeling they had genuinely learned something and were ready to step into the Copilot champion role.

Lucy and Andrew were flexible, listened carefully to our needs, and adapted in the room. Their depth of knowledge, combined with a relaxed but engaging delivery style, made this the most enjoyable and impactful training I’ve attended in a long time.
